Pairing structure will be decided by reaction time scored during practice runs. Lower reaction time gets lane choice. Lowest number gets the bye if and when applicable.
If you break before eliminations begin, please make every attempt to notify the race director at the driver’s meeting. If you are still working on your car, and think you will make it to eliminations, send someone to the driver’s meeting to relay information and pick a number for you.
We will not re-structure the ladder due to “no shows”. If your opponent is a no-show, you get a bye. In some cases in the interest of time, the track will insist you not make your bye run. The racer will not be penalized for racetrack decisions out of the racers control.
In case of raceday rainout, bonus points will be awarded to those that arrive at the track, call the Race Director, or make an effort to make it to the track. Final decision is made solely by the Race Director
The goal of this series is to have fun. I know everyone is passionate about racing otherwise we wouldn’t be doing this, but we expect everyone to keep things in prespective and set a good, positive example for all our fellow racers and spectators alike. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. This should go without saying. The definition of unsportsmanlike conduct will be determined by the Race Director, but I think we all know what that is. Disciplinary action range can from a warning, to expulsion of the offender from the NASA organization entirely.
If you wish to lodge a complaint, or protest a decision about something that happened during the event, come talk to the Race Director. If it is something that cannot be easily resolved on the spot, the Race Director may ask you to submit it in writing.
